Currently, CAHURAST is working in Gorkha, Dhading and Pyuthan districts. The projects are working on the following key areas:
1. Strengthening awareness and understanding of the concept of human rights in these regions. By using street dramas and community workshops we are reaching out to as many communities as possible, educating people about their fundamental human rights.
2. Training people within these communities to monitor development projects in their area. This helps to increase financial accountability and transparency, improving the quality and delivery of services provided to the local community. Through this method, we are tackling corruption and building integrity from the grassroots upwards.
3. Developing Embryo Level Mechanisms (ELMs) to improve social accountability, and increase awareness among the community and in local academic institutions.
